Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2006-060
2006-01-25
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Product : Fedora Core 4
Name : udev
Version : 071
Release : 0.FC4.1
Summary : A userspace implementation of devfs
Description :
udev is a implementation of devfs in userspace using sysfs and
/sbin/hotplug. It requires a 2.6 kernel to run properly.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
For kernels >= 2.6.15 a newer udev version is necessary.
Please update to this or newer udev versions, before you
boot a new kernel.
Upgrading to this udev stopped my ipw2200 card working
/var/log/messages shows:

Jan 29 18:59:09 localhost kernel: ipw2200: probe of 0000:03:03.0 failed with error -5
this didn't seem to be an issue at first, but then all of a sudden my
wireless card stopped working regardless of the kernel I tried.
Downgrading udev to udev-058-1.0.FC4.1 see my ipw2200 card working fine
again.
Want me to file a bug report?
