A big benefit is that it would be easy to write a tool to move a Fedora
installation using LVM from one drive to another (for example if you buy
a bigger drive). With LVM, this can be done on-line; hook up the new
drive, partition (/boot and LVM), copy /boot (and install GRUB), and
pvmove the rest. Leave it running in the background, and when it is
done, you shut down and remove the old drive.
