Seems to me to be some sort of problem with SELinux. Maybe it's blocking access to some files.
You can try to switch it to permissive mode. Or have you uninstalled it?
Another way is to edit the fedora-livecd-testday.ks and after %include line add a directive
selinux --permissive
or
selinux --disabled
not to use SELinux on livecd. You will see if that helps.
I will try to look at it, but today I'm leaving on a holiday for a week, so only after that.

rawhide rpmlib
by glenn
I put an F11 install from an iso DVD on my virgin drive and run a full
yum update to make it current.
Then I changed the repository to 'rawhide' with the intention of moving
to rawhide. Then I have tried "yum update kern\*" to start the change
to change rawhide, but at the update each module gets the complaint
rpmlib(PayloadIsXz) is neededby .......
I don't see anyone else having this issue. How do I solve this? or do I
wait until next week and start with the alpha release of the F12 iso?

Xorg/Radeon spontaneous blanking issues in F11?
by Dennis Jacobfeuerborn
Hi,
Occasionally the screen gets disabled for no reason at all on my F11
system. This occurs even with the screensaver completely disabled and even
after I typed something 5 seconds before. The screen suddenly goes black
and as soon as I press a key it comes back to life again.
The only possible hint I found in the Xorg logfile is this though since
Xorg doesn't put timestamps in front of it's log entries I'm not 100% when
these entries where made and if they have anything to do with this:
Blank CRTC 0 success
Disable CRTC 0 success
Disable CRTC memreq 0 success
Enable CRTC memreq 0 success
Enable CRTC 0 success
Unblank CRTC 0 success
(II) RADEON(0): DIG0 transmitter: Coherent Mode enabled
Output DIG0 transmitter setup success
Anyone else seeing this?

Dennis

Is Bug 496820 an F12Blocker?
by Niels Haase
Hello,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=496820 prevents Power6
Systems from using the network because the ethernet adapters are not
found. This also means that all all kinds of network installation will
fail
during the install. Since PPC is still a primary arch, this bug should
be at least a F12Blocker I think.
The bugs blocks actually RHEL 6 (511304). Therefore I'm not able to
add them to F12Blocker.

Skipping (or not skipping) the media check is in text mode.
Then anaconda runs (announcing its start in text mode) and starts X.
There's a do-nothing screen (Next).
Then there's the language selection screen.
Alt-Fn or Ctrl-Alt-Fn should work at that point. In particular, F2
should be handy.
There's always "nomodeset" to try, too. Nouveau KMS is one of the
objectives of F12 (isn't it?), but I don't know if it's been turned on yet.

I added both, no effect. Tried stuff like that before.
The fact that this happens, as I reported, before any obvious attempt
to run X, suggests this particular problem is unrelated to X.

So now my question again: I have testet a Novatel MC950D
(vendor ID 4400, product ID 5010) and a Huawei E220/E270
(vendor ID 12d1, product ID 1003), checking Network Manager
as well as the vodafone-mobile-connect-card-driver-for-linux
GUI, and nothing of them worked in Fedora 11. So which
device (product ID please) do you suggest???
