pup/yum updates package, but it doesn't get updated
by David Timms
With current dev tree having unresolvable for a full update, I wanted to
get as many of the current updates as possible. So I deselected the
problematic ones, and I was left with about 12 packages to do. I then
tried each of these in term, and found that rhgb was resolvable, click
update, pup initiates download and then installs the package, without
error, finishing with an OK button that closes pup.
Starting pup again, it finds all 12 packages as still ready for update,
including the rhgb package that it just did:

Also is there further info to retrieve before trying

FC5T2 Video Issues & Freecell
by Partha Bagchi
System: HP dv8000z CTO (AMD 64 Turion)

Video: 128MB ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (PCIE)

x86_64 GNU/Linux
I am unable to get the radeon driver working with the above
specifications despite various attempts. The issue is that when DRM is
activated, the card is not found: /dev/dri/card1-254 not found. The
system resorts to vesa with a stretched screen. Has anyone else seen
this? Anyone else using the above system?
The other issue is the following error I get while trying to play freecell:

Is cyrus-imapd the correct package to install imapd?
It is generating dependency errors when I attempt to

please tell me what is. Thanks.

Broadcom BCM43xx appears in system-config-network as eth1 in FC5T2
by Stanton Finley
System-config-network correctly picks up my onboard Broadcom Corporation
BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02) but
identifies it as eth1.
When I enter the correct WEP information and try to activate it fails.
FC4 running on this same machine with ndiswrapper identified it as wlan0
and worked well.
When I select "Activate device when computer starts" and reboot the boot
message for this device is "SCIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory".
I am running FC5test2 with kernel 2.6.15-1.1878_FC5-i686.
I understand that there is an open source Broadcom driver being
developed at bcm43xx.berlios.de. Are there plans to incorporate this
driver into the FC5 kernel?
Has anyone had any luck with the Broadcom BCM4318 using ndiswrapper or
other method on FC5T2?

Eclipse will not start

Hi all,
FC5T2 x86_64 + updates as of a few minutes ago. Eclipse will not
start. The spash screen comes up and just sits there. ps ux shows
eclipse and java running, but they don't seem to get anywhere:

setenforce {0,1} doesn't seem to matter. Both ways I get several "

messages on the console when starting it there. Any ideas? Anyone
else see this?

Filing bug reports against FC5T2 + updates
by Jonathan Berry
Hi all,
Where should bugzilla reports be filed if they are for FC5T2 +
updates? I've noticed that several of the reports that get cited here
are for:
Product: Fedora Core
Version: devel
Is this the generally accepted way to file things? What is the
"fc5test2" Version field for? Just FC5T2 without updates? This would
be useful to know both for submitting bug reports and for searching
for them.
Is there a site that outlines perhaps some normal practices for trying
out test releases and submitting bug reports and the like? I looked
over the "Testing Manifesto" posted earlier
(http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JefSpaleta/TestingManifesto), and it is
pretty good, but I guess I was looking for some more details.
