It seems to work fine w/Konqueror and Nautilus. So there should be some
way to run it from the command line as a regular user. (Sure, doing it
as root is easy enough.) Unfortunately, SUID on /bin/mount doesn't seem
to work. I'm missing something and would appreciate some help.
Can someone tell me how to mount a Samba share w/cifs from the command
line as a regular user?

Does that mean that smbfs will be restored in FC5T3?
To add one other thought, I've tried a SUID version of mount.cifs, and this
command sort of works -
/sbin/mount.cifs //fc5t2/michael test -o username=michael
But the mounted subdirectory inherits 700 permissions and is owned by user
1000 ; the permissions and user/group are unchangeable via chown and
chmod.

FC4 noarch packages GPG Key
by Will H. Backman
FC4: I started with a minimal install, and then did a yum groupinstall
"X Window System". All the narch.rpm packages failed due to a GPG key
errors, although when installing them manually with rpm, it seems that
they were just not signed at all. Has anyone else tried this?

It's the difference between a restaurant with a menu and a buffet or dim
sum.
At a restaurant with service you can read the menu, and by ordering from
the menu obtain any item quickly, but it's not the same as having a wide
selection sitting on your table (installed on your desktop?) where you
can sniff and see and poke and say, "this one looks interesting, I'll
try it".
Once you know about jiaozi, you can order from the menu next time :-)

seg fault installing .1872....
by Tom London
Got following message during today's 'yum update' (from a rawhide
system current as of yesterday):
Updating : rhgb ####################### [11/44]
Installing: kernel ####################### [12/44]
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.71639: line 1: 3537 Segmentation fault
/usr/sbin/module_upgrade 2.6.15-1.1872_FC5
I get the same message if I 'rpm -e kernel.....' followed by 'rpm -ivh
kernel....'
