Hi folks! While F31 is signed off, there's still some testing required. There are two updates, one each for F29 and F30, which must be pushed stable before the release date:
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-2fb39de3ce (F29) https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-2368fc415f (F30)
These updates work around the libgit2 module problems on upgrade. What they should achieve is, when upgrading from F29 to F31 or F30 to F31 using gnome-software, the 'libgit2' module should get reset, avoiding any problems with installed packages that require libgit 0.27.
To reproduce the problem, install F29 or F30 Workstation, install 'kf5- ktexteditor' package (which pulls in libgit2 0.27), and try to upgrade to F31 using gnome-software (you will need to run `gsettings set org.gnome.software show-upgrade-prerelease true`, as your user not as root, to make the upgrade appear). When you hit the 'install' button after 'download' step is complete, you should see a warning that kf5- ktexteditor will be removed. If you retry with the updated gnome- software and libdnf from the update - you will need to re-trigger the download step somehow, I find a reboot should clear the state - it should work correctly, there should be no warning and after the upgrade, kf5-ktexteditor should be installed along with a non-modular libgit2 0.28 package.
If folks can test these updates and provide karma that'd be a great help! Thanks.
