Yes, recreate the binary RPMs. And install those new binary RPMs on a
RHEL8 test server.
I was interested in testing some code mods. Now that a recent sssd bugix
has been supplied, it's mainly a curiosity/personal growth sort of question.

But you need a proper buildroot to rebuild it. I don't think those are
published. And neither F28 nor F35 match it.
