Hello
getent passwd -s sss username or id username can fetch data from cache, you
can never confirm if server is online or offline & where are we fetching
data from.
sssctl does a lot more.
AFAIK, There is no plan to bring sssctl in RHEL6, You can build your own
packages from source.

Will sssctl ever be packaged for RHEL6?
Or alternatively, what might be the cheapest/easiest alternative to
check functionality such as pam_auth success/deny that sssctl
provides? (For executing on a client as a Nagios check, for example).
