Finally I found the issue. You are right it is on the automounter config side. I had to
modify either the
/etc/autofs.conf :
..
[ autofs ]
#
# master_map_name - default map name for the master map.
#
# default:
#master_map_name = /etc/auto.master
# new:
master_map_name = auto.master
..
or leave /etc/autofs.conf default and modify /etc/auto.master
/etc/auto.master:
...
# old
# /home /etc/auto.home
# new
/home auto.home
Anyway, removing the absolute path to the automappper file makes the difference

I think, that the automounter doesn't communicate with the sssd daemon for automounter
maps, although the nsswitch.conf looks like this:
