Hello,
I upgraded yesterday to 1.13.3 and at least until now the service runs stable, so thank
you for the tip.
My struggle still is is that i can only login via ssh+kerberos to the machine when I
already have a valid kerberos ticket on the machine

Could you try to retest with latest sssd-1-12 (1.12.5)
or latest sssd-1-13(1.13.3) ?
It's very likely that crash is already fixed.
You might use alternative repositories for opensuse
e.g.
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=network%3Aldap&packag...
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=spins%3Ainvis%3Astable&am...
