Bug ID: 2291235
Summary: FreeIPA upgrade test from Fedora 39 fails since
Rawhide 20240608.n.1
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
OS: Linux

Component: sssd

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
I noticed the openQA FreeIPA server upgrade2 test is failing since
sssd-2.10.0~beta1-1.fc41 landed in 20240608.n.1 . The one-release upgrade test
(F40 to Rawhide) is fine, but F39 to Rawhide fails.
After the upgrade process is complete, on the upgraded server, ipa.service
doesn't start. ipaupgrade.log shows the sssd service failing. sssd journal
messages just say:

but the sssd log files themselves are very verbose, so much so that I can't see
exactly what the problem is. Will attach a tarball of the var/log/sssd
directory.
Reproducible: Always
