FYI, in the future the way to self-assign is as follows:
1) Make sure you're logged in to Trac with your Fedora account
2) Expand the "modify ticket" view in the ticket
3) Move the radio button to "accept" and hit the "submit" button
(optionally adding a comment explaining your intentions).
