Release notes for 1.12.4
by Jakub Hrozek
Hi,
I'd like to release 1.12.4 today. I started the release notes text here:
https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/wiki/Releases/Notes-1.12.4
Feel free to make modifications or reply with suggestions. Also, please
holler if you want me to merge any last-minute patch.
The next 1.12 tarball (1.12.5) will be released around mid-March, so I'd
like to only include trivial and well-tested patches at this point.

[PATCHES] few improvements to sbus and ifp
by Pavel Březina
2/3 of previous sbus changes are acked so I'm sending few more patches
from my tree.
Commit messages should be sufficient to justify the changes. Simply put,
I wanted to standardize and shorten names of generated and hard coded
variables and constants so the code stays simple with longer interface
names.

[PATCH] sbus: use hard coded getters instead of generated
by Pavel Březina
Hi,
I wrote most of this patch during the Christmas break.
It removes the codegen code for generating property getters (invokers to
be precise) and create hard coded ones. It also add a simple and general
purpose GetAll invoker. The reason and justification is in the commit
message.
Keeping method generated invokers makes sense, since each method can
have different number of arguments with different type.
I hope you like it.

[PATCH] SELINUX: Check the return value of setuid and setgid
by Jakub Hrozek
Hi,
As the automated test tools of our downstream discovered, selinux_child
now compiles with a warning if -Wunused-result is set:
sssd-1.12.2/src/providers/ipa/selinux_child.c:227:15: warning: ignoring return value of 'setgid', declared with attribute warn_unused_result [-Wunused-result]
sssd-1.12.2/src/providers/ipa/selinux_child.c:223:15: warning: ignoring return value of 'setuid', declared with attribute warn_unused_result [-Wunused-result]
Sorry I didn't catch this earlier, but I don't think we can do much about
the error anyway, just warn.

[PATCH] resolv: Fix a typo
by Jakub Hrozek
Hi,
I'm sorry for sending a buggy version to the list, but both unit tests
and the subsequent patches in my git branch actually use the "_ttl"
parameter, so the code worked for me..

sssd-devel@lists.fedorahosted.org
by Lukas Slebodnik
ehlo,
attached is a simple patch for ticket #2572
My reproducer:
* start sssd
* attach gdb to some service e.g. nss
- DO NOT RUN any command (we just need to simulate unresponsive service)
* wait until monitor send SIGKILL to service
"[nss][5835] is not responding to SIGTERM. Sending SIGKILL."
* quit debugger
Result:
the main sssd process (monitor) will crash.
