Hi,
I have build a Fedora 19 based spin but could not log in to the system after live boot.
When I click the login button "Live User.." system won't load the desktop but it reload the log-in interface.
Appreciate if some one can help me on fix this.
Thanks
Please note that this is same when I use kickstart files ship with fedora-kickstarts package.

This is only a thought, it may no longer be correct, but did you set selinux to permissive (i.e. not enforcing) when building the spin? I seem to remember getting similar symptoms with F18 spins if I forgot to do that.
yes, SELinux is set to permissive. Should I change it the Enforce?

I was teeing the live media not an installed system. On 8 Jul, 2013 6:33 PM, "David Both" dboth@millennium-technology.com wrote:
I have seen this symptom occur because there is no writable free space left in the /tmp filesystem. The GUI logins create temporary files in /tmp and if there is no space (or inodes) left in which to create those files, then the symtoms are exactly as you describe.
Verify the amount of space left in /tmp. Note that some space is always reserved in each filesystem for the root user even when it appears full to a regular user, so it will not be completely full, but it would be very close.
Good luck.

What kind of video card do you have? This could potentially be a probelm with llvmpipe.
I have tested on both KVM based VM on F18

I have an Intel card.
But why console is not working? Normally we can login to the console by just giving user as root and blank password. But it won't work now.

That might be an intentional change. I remember some discussion about an issue with the empty root password a while back. You might look through the spin-kickstarts upstream change log to see if there is anything noted.

Nothing on change logs.
