I just received notification that three sessions that I submitted around Fedora
Server have been accepted:
* State of the Fedora Server Union
* Server SIG Pow-Wow
* Build Your First Server Role
As I've basically withdrawn from the Server Working Group, I think it would be
better if someone else took over giving the State of the Fedora Server Union
talk (I think it's important to have it, but I doubt I'm necessarily the right
person to do so at this point.) Volunteers welcome.
I'm happy to run the Server SIG Pow-Wow, which should basically just be a
brainstorming session for what the Server SIG wants to focus on for the
following year. I don't mind playing moderator on that.
I'm not sure what to do about the "Build Your First Server Role" session.
Given
that things are in flux around rolekit and/or replacing it with other
technologies, I think it will be difficult to plan for it. The rolekit rewrite
is not complete and I have real doubt that it will be done in time for the
conference, particularly if we're going to refocus on a different solution. I
guess I'm leaning towards canceling this talk and giving the space back to some
other group. However, if the Server WG settles on a new approach, maybe it would
be good to do a workshop on *that* instead.
