Hello everyone! Perhaps someone remembers how I cut in at the end of the last meeting of the server working group and promised to introduce myself properly in the mailing list. Well, here it is.
My name is Alex Ignatov and I am a telecommunication engineer from Russia. For many years now I have been actively using open source software both at work and at home, but I have always wanted to make my own contribution to this. Previously, I was just looking for projects on github, but now I decided to try to become a part of the Fedora community.
I’ve been studying programming since college started with Basic and Pascal. After that Assembler, C++ and php in University. In my engineering career it is Golang. But despite all of the above I’ve never worked as a programmer, just write some usefull code at work or at my home projects. My usual working routine is administrating Linux servers, and writing technical docs. Also I have master’s degree thesis on cloud computing (but I don’t think it will be handy in any way). So I hope some of my skills will be usefull here or in any other Fedora working group.
I’m ready to spend couple of evenings weekly so please give me the direction where can I start. And I’m sorry if this is a wrong mailing list for this kind of messages.
