2) Default guided partitioning scheme
Chris Murphy raised some excellent questions about how we might lay out the
default partitioning scheme of Fedora Server. Currently, the default layout is
pretty much what it was in the pre-Fedora.next period, which means that it's
basically three partitions; an up to 50GB / (root) partition, a swap partition
based on available RAM and a /home partition with all the remaining space. This
is a layout that makes a lot of sense for a Workstation installation, but
perhaps not as much for a Server installation.
This is a great example of the kind of change that _having_ a separate
Fedora Server makes possible. It's nothing dramatic, but it's easy to
make a change for this use case without needing to worry about also
accomodating desktop needs, and Workstation (and spins) can have
sensible desktop defaults without needing to worry about what server
storage looks like. \o/
