Is there a way to disable this functionality on the cli, I've noticed
this on some of my test devices which I deal with remotely,. even
Workstation arm devices I don't want to do this.

We should probably ask GNOME for documentation on how to disable this, many people will be searching for it. I don't know the commands. I think it will require some gsettings override.
