Basic needs are:
...
* help with QA every release cycle
I coud contribute here
* updated marketing materials for
https://getfedora.org and for
press
releases every release cycle
* marketing materials for Ambassadors
I could contribute but would need more
information what is needed
* updated docs and howtos
Do you have specific articles in
mind? Could you provide one / some link(s) and what would be especially important?
From my existing local documentation I could contribute at short notice (but not all at
once):
- A step-by-step installation instruction for a basic installation of a generic server
(based on "best practice" considerations), which can be the basis for setting up
various services
- A step-by-step guide to using systemd-container as an alternative to containerization
via podman for specific use cases based on the basic installation
- A step-by-step guide to installing VMs using Fedora cloud images and management via
systemd-nspawn as infrastructure (and alternative to libvirt)
- A step-by-step instruction for installation on a rented dedicated server (bare metal)
using the example of Hetzner (Europe, can be supplemented with a US provider)
- A draft for a section "Why Fedora Server", (which would need to decide where
to use such a statement.
As a scientist, writing and teaching is part of my profession and I hope to achieve
something at least halfway useful. But being new here I need information what exactly is
missing or needs to be revised.
