I wonder if we should revisit calling for agenda topics via email.
I remember we discussed that once ago. One criterion at the time was how we could reach as
many as possible in the simplest and best way.
Other
WGs and SIGs use Pagure, and it seems to be working well for them.
Without this, people who don't follow the mailing list closely would
likely miss out, unless they know to check the list in the short window
(Thursday to Monday).
It is unclear to me how pagure solves this better. Instead of reading the mailing list
they would have to check pagure regularly. Or they would have to watch pagure issues, and
then they would also receive a mail from pagure. Or am I missing something?
I immediately see an advantage if we create one ticket per topic. Especially for longer
running work, which is the miserable ticket #32 & #48
And we need a ticket if we need / want a voting.
But if we create a ticket for each meeting, aren't we cluttering up pagure?
If the concern is that information is scattered in two different
places,
we can keep sending the call for topics here, but link to that tracker,
perhaps?
I have no qualms about using either. I think it is important to spread the information as
widely as possible and sensibly. We can start with the next meeting. I would just like to
have a clear goal and procedure to follow.
Best
Peter
