A warm welcome to you!
Thank you.
Nice site. Are you the author „Steve“ over there?
Yes, that is
me. It is my site that I maintain using Hugo to create it, and Github Pages to host it.
I would love to discuss with you how we can move Fedora Docs forward.
I didn't know that homelabs were a target audience for Fedora Server. Honestly,
I don't hear Fedora Server mentioned when it comes to homelab podcasts or blogs that I
read on the subject, but I really believe with some improved documentation, Fedora could
be come a preferred base for the homelab admins. I also like how you mentioned Fedora
Server being a more feature rich alternative to the NAS solutions out there.
I'm planning to build a server from old parts that aren't doing anything. I
thought of using TrueNAS Core or Scale beta, or OpenMedia Server, since I already have a
home server on Fedora Server. But now I'm thinking that I will probably go with Fedora
Server since I want this build to be an experiment with Btrfs pools, RAID, and container
technologies. Then I could hopefully document those things for Fedora Server Docs.
Thanks, Peter, for getting the ball rolling on Fedora Server Documentation. Hopefully, my
beginner experiences will benefit the work you have begun. I will spend some time looking
into the links that you referenced in the coming week to better understand this project
and how I might be able to plug into it. Have a good weekend.
