I have read somewhere about a man porting Fedora to a MIPS based Chinese netbooks, but evidently behind a closed door :-( The hardware is http://www.lemote.com/english/index.html and some resellers exist in Europe and US.
my desktop machine is made by lemote. id love to run fedora on it.

Mono exists on s390/s390x and builds in Fedora/s390x.
glad to be wrong :), last i looked i thought it was disabled there also. but the idea still holds. some things just wont build without alot of effort on some platforms. and its ok to exclude them.
