Hi Christian!
we have updated all our dependencies(among them VTK to 6.1): http://asl.org.il/2015/06/09/ASL-0.1.2_released/
So if you start packaging please, send us a link, so we can follow the process and make contributions.
Thank you very much! Zeev
ps: we still need 17 more "Likes" on Facebook to get a proper URL... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Avtech-Scientific/828973737156105

Hi again,
is VTK 5.8 a hard requirement? Because in Fedora we have 6.1 by default. My approach would be to remove the 5.8 @CMakeLists.txt, are there potential issues then?

Hi Christian,
You are welcome!
- Could you, please, give me a link, so we can follow your packaging
efforts and make contributions if we can.
Yes, when I'm ready and ASL is part of our package tree.
- Is it correct, that once it gets in Fedora it will automatically be
available in RHEL, CentOS and Scientific Linux?
Not automatically, but I will add it to the EPEL repository (an addon to EL), so it is available for RHEL, CentOS and Scientific then.
Greetings, Christian
Thank you very much! Zeev

Hi Zeev,
very nice! I'll package it (and then of course torture it with some physics :P).

Dear Fedora Scientific community,
we would like to announce the recent open-source release of our GPU-enabled multiphysics software - Advanced Simulation Library. http://asl.org.il/
Here are some remarkable benchmarks: http://asl.org.il/benchmarks/multicomponent_flow/
If possible, please create a Fedora package for ASL and send me an URL where we could make our contributions to the packaging efforts.
Thank you, Zeev
