coordinating liborigin update

Hello, A new version of liborigin was released yesterday with a few bugfixes and it would be good to have both dependent packages, SciDAVis (maintained by me) and LabPlot updated along with it. I wrote to Felix, the LabPlot maintainer last night, but I have not heard back yet and I have not seen any activity from him recently. Is anyone willing to do a rebuild when I create the updates in side tags? It appears that KDE SIG members have commit access to the package. Best regards, A. P.S.1: Should the SciTech SIG be added to LabPlot's maintainers? P.S.2: In fas, we have a scitech group and a scitech_sig group. Are both valid? I was thinking that it might be a good idea to try the updates first in a COPR (though it might be an overkill, considering the scope of the update) and then I came across the SciTech COPR, to which only the first group has access and I don't belong to it.

Hello! I intend to hand over primary maintainership of the following packages or orphan them if nobody steps up: arpack chemtool cp2k elpa inchi python-colorspacious python-fypp python-GridDataFormats python-gsd python-kaitaistruct python-mmtf python-mrcfile python-Pympler tachyon wxmacmolplt xdrawchem I don't use them anymore, so I'm not a good maintainer for them. Most, if not all above, are co-maintained by SciTech SIG already. Please contact me if you want to take over one of these. Otherwise, I will orphan them in the first week of the new year. The packages are mostly in good shape, with the notable exceptions of cp2k and elpa, but there's an open PR for cp2k to update and fix current FTBFS. openmpi 5.0.0 update coming - drops i686 and C++ API

I'm going to start building openmpi 5.0.0 and its requirements (pmix 4.2.7, prrte 3.0.2) and dependencies in a side-tag starting tomorrow. Notable changes are: * Dropping support for 32-bit * Dropping support for C++ API * Change in the environment variable to allow oversubscription (running with more processes than available cores) I will be making changes to dependent packages to address these changes. I've been rebuilding deps in COPR (https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/orion/pmix-4.2/builds/) and most rebuild fine. One exception is MUSIC which depends on the C++ API. There is a longstanding upstream issue to address this. Hopefully this will finally get dealt with. cannot locate Kickstart (*.ks) file for Fedora Scientific 37 or 38

I followed the link, but the link for the kickstart file for Fedora Labs Scientific version states the link is retired. Do you know where I can find the kickstart file for Fedora Labs Scientific 37 or 38 or the complete list of packages that are installed in this Labs version of Fedora? openmpi 5.0.0 drops 32-bit support

As a heads up - openmpi 5.0.0 drops support for 32-bit builds [1]. I'm not sure how far away it is from release - we're on rc10 at the moment. Dear all, a brief word of introduction. I am a social scientist, using Fedora for +5y, doing mostly qualitative research, but occasionally quantitative. I wonder whether anybody on this list is up for collaboratively drawing up a list of social science related software packages, already available or desired for Fedora. Merging all votca-* packages
