You're coding as root? ;)
Consider setting some git variables:
$ git config --global user.name "Luke Kordell"
$ git config --global user.email "luke.t.kordell(a)lmco.com"
Here is my master gitconfig:
$ cat ~/.gitconfig
[user]
name = Shawn Wells
email = shawn(a)redhat.com
[sendemail]
from = Shawn Wells <shawn(a)redhat.com>
smtpserver =
smtp.corp.redhat.com
chainreplyto = false
[sendemail "ssgcommit"]
to = scap-security-guide(a)lists.fedorahosted.org
from = Shawn Wells <shawn(a)redhat.com>
smtpserver =
smtp.corp.redhat.com
When I submit patches, I only have to do:
git send-email --identity=ssgcommit --annotate --cover-letter --signoff
origin
Note this requires the git-email package to be installed (avail on RHEL).
