Hi,
I started rebuilds of whole
rubygems.org as RPM packages in Copr.
See:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/rubygems/rubygems/
However lots of gems cannot be imported due licensing problems.
Such gems fail with this dist-git log:
http://copr-dist-git.fedorainfracloud.org/per-task-logs/320374-f24.log
SrpmBuilderException: error: line 9: Empty tag: License:
Not specifying a license means all rights are reserved; others have no rights to use the
code for any purpose.
See
http://guides.rubygems.org/specification-reference/#license=
And quoting from this link:
Not specifying a license means all rights are reserved; others have
no rights to use the code for any purpose.
If you find your favourite gem missing in this list:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/rubygems/rubygems/monitor/
Then it is very likely because of this reason.
I such case, please contact the upstream author and ask him to specify the license.
Note: I just started the rebuild. And we are still processing a* gems. So it will take
some time to process whole
rubygems.org.
