Looking for ways to reduce air charter costs? |
Consider utilizing smaller piston engine aircraft for shorter regional flights. While "piston props" are not appropriate for most flights over approximately 600 miles, they can be very cost efficient for regional business travel. Many piston prop aircraft are also exempt from the 7.5% federal excise tax, providing further cost savings.
Examples:
Cessna 421: Denver, Colorado to Albuquerque, New Mexico (330 miles) for a same-day business meeting -- approx. $3,500
Cessna 340: Minneapolis, Minnesota to Tulsa, Oklahoma (630 miles) for one overnight -- approx. $4,600
Piper Aztec: Bedford, Massachusetts to Williamsport, Pennsylvania (308 miles) for a same-day business meeting -- approx. $2,500 |
