Good find. I guess we must be persisting the portlets using their display name, rather than their locator/view name.

I'd create a BZ for this, so we don't forget about it.

This sounds odd - will users use RHQ in a multilanguage environement, where they sometimes start the English and sometimes the Japanese UI ? I think this behavior would be very inconvenient for them.
