Looks like the slowness is due to this already reported bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1658176
Add exclude_fields=["attachments"] to your query for now, it will speed
things up greatly. Better still is to specify include_fields=[...]
containing every field you are actually using in your script, so the
query only pulls down exactly what your code is using

Hi,
I'm looking at python-bugzilla way of cloning the bug.
Can anyone help me out with this?

python-bugzilla performance question
by Dave Johnson
Is it just me or does querying RH bugzilla version 5 through
python-bugzilla now painfully slow? Queries that took seconds to come back
now take 10-15 minutes.
Translating that same query into a bugzilla URL and clicking on it renders
as expected within seconds but it seems querying with python-bugzilla now
is almost unusable.
Am I missing something? Where am I going wrong here?
Thanks,
