Does anyone have any experience with any Atheros based 802.11g
wireless cards in PPC Linux using madwifi?
If so, and it works - what model card?
I'm going to take a gamble and just try one when a FC test (or final)
is released - AT&T Plug&share (the 54g model) works just swell in x86
fedora, I'll try that one first I suppose - I can steal it from my PC
probably long enough to see if it works before buying another.
It'll also let me test the
rpm.livna.org bugzilla rpm in PPC FC.
Would anyone have suggestions for wireless 802.11g not necessarily
based on Atheros if that doesn't work?
The machine is a 450 MHz G4. I don't want to go 802.11b, and where the
machine is going (the kitchen) I can't go straight cat5, a wireless
bridge I suppose would be an option - but I'd rather not do that (I'd
have bought a slot CRT iMac if I wanted to do that)
I would of course prefer Atheros because that's what my desktop and
laptop use, and I know madwifi works well - even if it does taint.
