Magic in /etc/modprobe.conf needs to happen. What Mac do you have and
what kinda sound device is it?
I had already downloaded the latest vnc package, which led to the
following error:
--
[root@Apple1 paulc]# rpm -ihv vnc-4_1_1-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
ld-linux.so.2 is needed by vnc-4.1.1-1.i386
--
I tried a similar rpm which told me: package vnc-4.0-5 is intended for
a
i386 architecture
Get the vnc-4_1_1-1.ppc.rpm
Or an older version for fc3:
http://fedoraproject.org/fedorappc/FC-3/os/Fedora/RPMS/vnc-4.0-8.ppc.rpm
From now on, you don't want anything that is *.i386.rpm.
You're aiming
for *.ppc.rpm
