by Soetji Anto
I tried to build atmelwlandriver-3.4.1.0 for my usb wireless and got this error:
include/asm/setup.h:8:28: asm-m68k/setup.h: No such file or directory
I don't see include/asm-m68k/ anywhere. Any thoughts?

Minimum number of partitions needed to boot only Fedora PPC and machine purchase questions.
by J.B. Nicholson-Owens
Hi,
I'm considering getting an inexpensive G3 PPC Mac to play around with Fedora
Core PPC. I have three questions:
1. Does $300 sound like a reasonable amount of money for a G3 iBook?
2. Is such a machine a reasonable choice for running Fedora Core GNU/Linux?
3. On i386 machines and compatibles, I can partition the disk so I only need
partitions that matter to Fedora Core. Can I do the same for Fedora Core PPC
and not have any MacOS-related partitions?
Thanks.

Problem with yabootconfig
by Soetji Anto
I tried to install FC3 along with OSX on my iBook G3 following instructions on http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fedorappc.html. I broke out into a shell with Ctrl+Alt+Fn+F2 at the end of the CD installation when it asked for reboot.
I didn't find /etc/yaboot.conf instead I found it at /mnt/sysimages/etc/yaboot.conf. The file has already:
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img
When I run:
yabootconfig -r /dev/hda11 -b /dev/hda13
I got the following error:
id: unknown group name: 0
/mnt/sysimage/sbin/yabootconfig: line 455: [: != unary operator expected
yabootconfig: / does not appear to be a valid root filesystem
Please help.
Thanks,

How to break out into shell
by Soetji Anto
Following instructions on
http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fedorappc.html,
I got to #13, "Once the installation is done, break out into a
shell. This can be done via Ctrl+Alt+Fn+F2. There should already
be an /etc/yaboot.conf file for you."
When should I break out into a shell? Is it a the screen when it
says "Reboot?"? I mistakenly chose reboot and my iBook hanged
and I shut it down. How can I break out into shell then?
Thanks for your help,
Soetji

boot.iso
by Carl Ljungmark
Hello!
Trying to install Fedora from cds.
I burned the boot.iso file to a cd, but it won't boot. I've tried simply
to hold down the C button, and also to do it via OF (Then I got message
saying that the boot size is too small or something..)..
Another question. Should I install mac os X on the 2nd partition? is this
important (then I would have to redo it).
Yes, newbie here.
thanks!
/carl
