Summary: CVE-2026-13082 perl-GD-SecurityImage: the rand
function is used to generate secrets [fedora-all]
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide

Disclaimer: Community trackers are created by Red Hat Product Security team on
a best effort basis. Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw
indeed affects their package, before starting the update process.
GD::SecurityImage versions through 1.75 for Perl use rand to generate secrets.
The random method creates the challenge text used for the CAPTCHA by sampling
characters from an array using Perl's built-in rand function, and generates a
(by default) six-character string.
The built-in rand function is unsuitable for security applications because it
is predictable and reversible.

Summary: perl-SDL-2.548-32.fc45 FTBFS: Failed test ''Palette is

Blocks: 2433833 (F45FTBFS,RAWHIDEFTBFS)
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
perl-SDL-2.548-32.fc45 fails to build in Fedora 45 because a test fails:
# Failed test ''Palette is SDL::Palette when BitPerPixels is 8 ' isa
'SDL::Palette''
# at t/core_palette.t line 43.
# 'Palette is SDL::Palette when BitPerPixels is 8 ' isn't defined
Can't call method "ncolors" on an undefined value at t/core_palette.t line 48.
# Looks like your test exited with 1 just after 6.
t/core_palette.t ................
Dubious, test returned 1 (wstat 256, 0x100)
Failed 5/10 subtests
A difference between passing and failing build root is at
<https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/build/22950124>. An upgrade of SDL3 from
3.4.0-3.fc44 to 3.4.4-1.fc45 is suspicious.

I've requested texlive-biblatex to be build for EPEL9 and am starting to work
on requesting the dep chain:
texlive-biblatex -> biber -> many others
It would also be nice to get EPEL10 ready as well.
If you do not wish to maintain biber in epel,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS orion);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/biber/adduser
Reproducible: Always
