It isn't necessarily enough. Do you consider a mix of centos4 and fedora
to be homogeneous? This is what I use and, mainly due to gfortran/g77
differences, I have to statically build on fedora to run on centos4.
Sounds like an argument for packaging a later, parallel installable
gcc for EPEL to me.
