It worked, but current upstream version is incompatible with the old one bundled in the Wx-Scintilla. (Oh the irony. Wx-Scintilla blaming Scintilla to be to slow itself became out-dated.) Current Fedora guidelines allow bundling in this case.
If you provide a spec file updated to current Perl packaging guidelines (build-requiring perl-generators etc.), I will continue with this review.
