Perhaps its an issue between f22 and f24? Either way I'm not sure how to

How did you created your src-rpm?
I download the source tarball and place it in the SOURCES directory, then I
run:
rpmbuild --define "_topdir `pwd`" -ba ~/source/lib389/python-lib389.spec
