Bug ID: 2422114
Summary: Review Request: perl-Net-DNSBL-Client - Perl module
with client code for querying multiple DNSBLs
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: redhat-bugzilla(a)linuxnetz.de
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: https://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/perl-Net-DNSBL-Client.spec
SRPM URL:
https://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/perl-Net-DNSBL-Client-0.207-1.src.rpm
Description: This Perl module is an easy-to-use library for looking up IP
addresses against multiple DNSBLs at once. It supports different types of
DNSBLs: Normal, meaning that any returned A record indicates a hit, match,
meaning that one of the returned A records must exactly match a given IP
address, mask, meaning that one of the returned A records must evaluate
to non-zero when bitwise-ANDed against a given IP address, or txt meaning
that TXT records should be looked up and returned (rather than A records).

A few noteworthy things about this package. It ships the Hare build driver and
the Hare standard library, and RPM macros to automate RPM dependency management
for Hare modules (Requires, Provides, %generate_buildrequires).
This package bootstraps itself, such that it relies on the RPM macros to
configure the build, or generate a 'Provides: hare_mod(...)' for each Hare
module from the standard library. The bootstrap happens in a single pass,
because the upstream build system for this package will first manually
bootstrap the Hare build driver, and then rebuild it such that it honors
HAREFLAGS, LDFLAGS, and other influential environment variables.
All of the bootstrap and dependency automation relies on patches I submitted
upstream.
Unfortunately, this single pass bootstrap means that fedora-review will fail to
parse the spec, because of the RPM macros both packaged and loaded by the spec.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
This package submission is part of this Fedora change:

Bug ID: 2314288
Summary: Review Request: grepcidr3 - High performance search
for IP addresses and CIDR ranges
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: redhat-bugzilla(a)linuxnetz.de
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: https://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/grepcidr3.spec
SRPM URL: https://labs.linuxnetz.de/bugzilla/grepcidr3-3.0-1.src.rpm
Description: The grepcidr3 utility can be used to filter a list of IP addresses
against one or more Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) specifications, or
also
arbitrary networks specified by an address range. As with grep, there are
options
to invert matching and load patterns from a file. It is capable of comparing
thousands or even millions of IPs to networks with little memory usage and in
reasonable computation time.

Note: grepcidr3 is a hard fork of grepcidr with incompatible command line
options.
