Hello all!
My name is Josseline Perdomo, I am an entry-level Software Engineer from Venezuela and one
of the aspirants for the upcoming summer '21 internship term. I found the project
**Improve Fedora's automated community metrics** mix Software Engineering and Data
Science, for that, I think my skills would fit for contributing in this project.
During my final year undergrad project, I had been working on a Deep Learning model
applied to medical images, an experience in which I learned data analysis and deep
learning in Python. Also, I have previous experience as a Software Engineer, which I think
would help to improve the current design and refactoring of this project.
Since last year I have been interested in getting more proactive in FOSS communities, I
contributed to the last Hacktoberfest for the first time (also my first time ever
contributing to FOSS communities). I hope my experience during this month contributing to
the Fedora Community could help in anything, I'm always open to learning from any dev.
I recently joined the #fedora-council channel and also @joinfedora, @fedoraSummerCoding,
and @fedoracommops on Telegram to get familiarized with how can I started in the community
and get in touch with the mentor (btw thanks to Akashdeep for his kindly welcome). To get
involved, I requested to work on this issue
(
https://pagure.io/fedora-contributor-trends/issue/1) to start. I hope to start work on it
soon.
Nice to meet you all!
Best regards,
Josseline
