can you clarify this? (not the beeep words. i'm
familiar with those. ;-)
the way it's designed to work (and i just rechecked) is:
- if the screen is on, whether the laptop is
suspended or not,
the power button will bring up the
"menu" screen.
- if the screen is dark, the power button
will just wake up the
laptop (or power it up, of course, if it
was off).
the switch from option 'a' to 'b', i.e., allowing
keypresses to wake
the laptop from a dark-screen idle-suspend, should have had
no effect
on this behavior.
are you seeing something else?
