Hello everyone,
I am nearing the end of the spring semester at school and I am beginning to
notice that I need much more time to study. As a result, I am going to have
to suspend FAWN until the second Thursday in May. This was not an easy
decision, but I am spending 2-3 hours a week getting this podcast recorded,
edited, and uploaded. I anticipate being back in full force this May with
what should be an even more polished FAWN, a perfect complement to the debut
of Fedora 13. I do thank you for allowing me to do what I've done thus far,
and would be very grateful in being able to continue after the semester is
over.

Fedora Insight folk: here is another non-critical, non-blocker
enhancement for post-F13 timeframe.
I've opened a new ticket on this:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2100
and added this to the running list of FI items to work on:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Insight#Meeting_agenda:_2010-04-22
which can be discussed at the 4/22/10 FI meeting.

Do you mean the version sent via email?
I had been wondering about how the ''mailshot'' is done, so I looked
up the workflow:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FWN/WorkFlow#Sending_New_Issue_Out_to_fedora…
Summary -- it's a manual copy, paste, and clean-up.
So, the only way to make it fit a smaller format is to reformat each
single paragraph, which is a *lot* of work.
This is what I think -- we're working on creating Fedora Insight and
using it to deliver FWN.
When we have that publishing FWN, let's look at a CSS for it to
produce a mobile version. E.g. mobile.news.fedoraproject.org.
Is that going to be hard to do? I don't know :) but I hope not.

Just wanted a quick aside to the list to apologize for stepping
through the process today in fixing my mistake from yesterday. If I
had pre-written most of my beat before the SIG meeting, I _think_ I
could have made the deadline. (I had to adjust the schedule and get
the word out so I would have something to put in the beat.)
The updated news was important enough that I've been reblasting it
wherever I could, and I didn't want the news organizations that we
send FWN to see only the old content. Hopefully my upate to announce@
covers any other watchers ...
For next week, I'll make sure to have my beat ready before the SIG
meeting, just in case the meeting drops another bombshell that eats up
my following 4+ hours!
cheers - Karsten

Hello,
I noticed that the translation beat was already marked 'Complete' before I had
finished writing the text. So just a heads up in case the earlier content was
compiled into the draft for the current issue. The Beat page is now updated with
the content for 221.
Thanks
