mirror,which includes fedora.
by 顾刘健
I am the admin of our school mirror, our school is Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommuications. This mirror is newly created,so i would like to include fedora in the mirror. There are many people using fedora in our school, and it is also a perfect linux operating system. Our mirror is a public mirror, and it's ip address is 180.209.98.28,and i am in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China.I now have totally 200Mbps outband bandwidth, and totally 4Tb disk space. So it is my pleasure to hear from you.

Initial quick-fedora-mirror
by Dewangga Bachrul Alam
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello!
I've setup initial quick-fedora-mirror using fedora-buffet master
module and MODULE=(fedora-enchilada fedora-epel) in
quick-fedora-mirror.conf.
It's seems like there's never ending rsync transfer (cmiiw). My last
log using verbose=3 output is :
file has vanished:
"/fedora/linux/updates/24/i386/drpms/distribution-gpg-keys-1.4-1.fc24_1.
9-1.fc24.noarch.drpm"
(in fedora-buffet)
file has vanished:
"/fedora/linux/updates/24/i386/drpms/distribution-gpg-keys-1.8-1.fc24_1.
9-1.fc24.noarch.drpm"
(in fedora-buffet)
file has vanished:
"/fedora/linux/updates/24/i386/drpms/distribution-gpg-keys-copr-1.8-1.fc
24_1.9-1.fc24.noarch.drpm"
(in fedora-buffet)
file has vanished:
"/fedora/linux/updates/24/i386/drpms/esniper-2.31.0-5.fc24_2.32.0-1.fc24
.i686.drpm"
(in fedora-buffet)
Nothing changes, but the network transfer still exists through
dl{0-4}.fedoraproject.org. Is it normal? Then should I break the
existing initial run and put it on crontab like old mechanism? Or just
moving it to systemd background process (since it's use zsh shell).
My fedora linux repo url is http://rndc.xtremenitro.org/fedora/linux
My fedora epel repo url is http://rndc.xtremenitro.org/fedora/epel
Need advice.
Thanks in advance

Fedora mirror mirror.as24220.net
by Adrian Reber
There has been a report that your Fedora mirror 'mirror.as24220.net' is
not totally up to date.
I had a look at your mirrormanager entry and I see that the crawler also has
trouble scanning your mirror in under three hours.
This is related to the fact that your rsync server is not reachable
anymore:
$ rsync rsync://mirror.as24220.net/epel
rsync: failed to connect to mirror.as24220.net (116.66.162.254): Connection refused (111)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(122) [Receiver=3.0.9]
Therefore the crawler falls back to HTTP scanning which is not optimal.
If possible, please re-enable the rsync server. Thanks.
Looking at
http://mirror.as24220.net/pub/fedora/linux/updates/testing/25/x86_64/repo...
it also seems you are not deleting old files on your mirror. Not really
important but also not necessary to keep all those old repo databases
around.

Setting up a private mirror
by Sebastian Schmieschek
Dear Sir or Madam,
Following the guidelines given on the page
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/Mirroring, I like to inform
you that we intend to set up a private EPEL mirror for the Department of
Physics and Astronomy at the University College London, London, United
Kingdom. The mirror will be stored on a deployment server (
build.theory.phys.ucl.ac.uk, 128.40.5.35) which is currently in development
with the aim to provision CentOS 7 installation and maintenance for the
whole of the department using Puppet/Foreman. The machine is connected via
1 Gb ethernet.
Yours faithfully,
Sebastian Schmieschek

dl.fedoraproject.org - max connections reached
by HEAnet Mirror Admin
Hi,
We've had trouble connecting to dl.fedoraproject.org for the last few
days - it appears to be hitting the maximum number of rsync
connections quite frequently.
