Information Request for Graduate Study
by balmusta@purdue.edu
Dear Fedora Mirror Admin,
I am a CS graduate student at Purdue University currently working on a project
related to network traffic on Linux mirrors. My study focuses on observing the
server and network performance during peek weeks such as first week of a major
release. I would appreciate your support in providing feedback on the following
items:
1. Do you use a server farm architecture?
2. Do you use a content distribution network like Akamai?
3. What type of machines run the server software?
4. What are the HTTP 1.0/1.1 timeouts being used?
I would appreciate any more information you believe might be useful in the study.
Regards,
Basel Almustafa
