New mirror site for Fedora
by Thomas Karlsson
Hi
I am setting up a private mirror server for the Fedora clients at work
and would like to sync my server with an official mirror server.
My account name at FAS is "tka"
I am planning to use rsync if that is possible.
The address list123(a)snpb.se will subscribe to mirror-list.
The address list124(a)snpb.se will subscribe to mirror-list-d.

mirroring from download-i2
by Fabrice Bellet
Hi!
I'm the maintainer of fr2.rpmfind.net (195.220.108.108), located in Lyon,
France. As my fedora mirror is hosted on a educational site, would it be
possible to sync from your internet2 master ? Here is the traceroute.
[root@mandril ~]# !traceroute

If you still need Tier1 mirrors, I think my mirror meets the requirements :
- the box has a gigabit link to internet
- fedora content is on a dedicated 1TB disk
- the box provides everything under the fedora-enchilada and fedora-epel rsync modules
- the box can provide private access the these modules based on the rsync_acl list
from mirrormanager.
Best wishes,

Private Fedora Mirror Request
by Dax Kelson
Hi All,
With F11 moving to SSL for fetching the metalink info, the "Automatic
Local Mirror Yum" (1) setup no longer works. I had thought about
updating it to use SSL and then rewriting the metalink info (and hashes)
to insert my local mirror in the hopes that yum doesn't do SSL
certification validation but figured that if it didn't do validation
already, it would at some point.
So anyway can I use MirrorManager to automatically redirect my internal
Fedora users to my internal mirror?
My external IP block is 67.137.148.0/24. All my users are natted into
that range.
Do you have a solution for organizations who external IP address is
dynamic? My technique works for in that situation for F10 and below.
Thanks,
Dax Kelson

In your report_mirror.conf file in the global section you have to
specify:
server=https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/xmlrpc
and not what I have seen in your file. Does that help?

Please allow our server to access download-i2.fedora.redhat.com
by Kazuhiro Fujieda
Dear mirror administrators,
Our server (ftp.jaist.ac.jp/150.65.7.130) is a Fedora mirror
with very high capacity in Japan.
It connects to Internet2 through TransPAC2 without any bottleneck.
We would like to use download-i2.fedora.redhat.com to synchronize
our mirror.
Could you allow our server to access the download server?
Regards,
