Hi Peter,
thanks for your support. Help on the kernel and u-boot side would be
very appreciated. Reusing the code is the way to go and I believe we can
use the distro defaults for MIPS with a reasonable effort. So far
nothing at all has been done on either kernel or u-boot and it is about
time to start with that.
I was actually planning to catch you at Flock and discuss some more
details, so if you'll find a minute for me that would be great. This can
also be a call for others - if you want to discuss MIPS at Flock, I'll
be there, just let me know.
Regards,
Michal

Hi Michal,
Sorry for the delayed response in posting. To introduce myself I'm the
Fedora rel-end secondary arch lead, I've been involved in the ARM*
(armv5, armv7 and aarch64) projects as well as ppc64le bringup so I
know a little about the process.

Let me know if you need help with the kernel side of things. I'm the
maintainer for the ARM, and co-maintainer for most of the kernel
secondary arches. Also u-boot which I suspect you'll need too for
booting.
For u-boot bootloader side of things it would be useful to support the
distro defaults support as it would allow minimal adjustments for
support in grubby/anaconda and friends as it would allow the reuse of
the same code as used on ARM making maintenance much easier for all
involved.
Peter
