Hi,

Manually i686-pc-mingw32-ranlib didn't help neither: no archive map to update. Do you mean you don't know the reason even in CentOS or only in Fedora? In the second case what was the method to fix it in CentOS?

Hi,

The regular 'ranlib' command only works on Linux libraries. For Win32
you need to use 'i686-pc-mingw32-ranlib'. However, this is something
that should be done automatically during the build process..

I've also seen this behaviour when building SRPMS on CentOS 5, but not
on Fedora Rawhide..haven't really found the cause of it yet.
