16:00:02 <nirik> #topic roll call
16:00:34 <junland> .hello
16:00:34 <zodbot> junland: (hello <an alias, 1 argument>) -- Alias for "hellomynameis $1".
16:00:45 <mitr> Hello
16:00:55 <nirik> morning everyone.
16:00:58 <junland> Morning
16:02:52 <nirik> not too many of us around today. :) Oh well.
16:02:55 <nirik> #topic agenda
16:03:01 <junland> Yeaaaaa :/
16:03:05 <nirik> I was thinking we could recap the test day...
16:03:10 <nirik> any other items ?
16:03:12 <junland> Yes,
16:03:30 <junland> We had one about 6-8 people participate. 1 Bug was filed.
16:03:50 <nirik> well, not great, but not the worst we could have done. ;)
16:04:15 <nirik> did most folks find then that everything worked as they expected?
16:04:22 <junland> Yea, wish there was a lot more participation...
16:04:46 <junland> Well the basic TC's where all green.
16:04:49 <junland> So yea.
16:05:18 <nirik> Thats good
16:05:22 <junland> Docker and Cockpit looked okay even though only 2 -3 people tried it.
16:05:26 <nirik> #topic test day
16:05:34 <nirik> #info test day had 6-8 people and 1 bug filed.
16:05:41 <nirik> #info most tests were green
16:06:47 <junland> Actually a total of 5 people posted results.
16:06:55 <junland> Including myself.
16:07:17 <nirik> it's hard to get people out to test days, but hey, any testing is great. ;)
16:07:32 <junland> Very true.
16:07:41 <junland> It was fun neither the less.
16:07:50 <junland> :)
16:08:31 <nirik> great. Thanks for organising it junland
16:08:40 <junland> No problem.
16:08:50 <nirik> #topic Open Floor
16:08:53 <stickster> nirik: I'm here late, I have something to share but I am happy to wait for the bottom of the meeting to do so (all other business, or what not)
16:09:03 <stickster> Oh. Looks like we just hit that :-D
16:09:06 <nirik> stickster: not many of us here today, so we are already to open floor. ;)
16:09:12 <junland> Yea...
16:09:25 <nirik> stickster: go ahead...
16:09:26 <stickster> nirik: Can I talk about the Fedora.next website?
16:09:32 <nirik> please do
16:09:42 <nirik> #topic Fedora.next website
16:10:15 * junland has another question but will wait after stickster. :)
16:10:37 <stickster> We had a meeting yesterday with the Websites team and several WG representatives, to arrive at text we can use for the Fedora.next website -- which offers a main page + 3 product-specific pages (plus some other stuff, but these are the focus)
16:11:07 <stickster> We are working on a usable draft of text for each product, so we can get the strings ready to ship to translators.
16:11:17 <nirik> excellent
16:11:22 <junland> Awesome.
16:11:28 <stickster> We didn't have a Server WG rep there but I agreed to take a stab at the Server stuff if no one else was available.
16:12:23 <stickster> #link https://jreznik.fedorapeople.org/websites.next/main.png (Main page for new site)
16:12:52 <stickster> #link https://jreznik.fedorapeople.org/websites.next/workstation.png (example product-specific page -- this is for Workstation)
16:13:10 <nirik> those are mockups? or from some source?
16:13:12 <stickster> You can see the up-to-the-minute new site in the fedora-web repo, in the 'getfedora' branch
16:13:19 <stickster> https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/fedora-web.git
16:13:25 * nirik notices in spins "find find many images"
16:13:26 <stickster> Under 'getfedora.org' directory.
16:13:30 <stickster> nirik: Already fixed.
16:13:34 <nirik> cool. ;)
16:13:36 <stickster> Those screenshots are a few days old :-)
16:13:48 <bkircher> :retab
16:14:06 <bkircher> uh, sorry, wrong buffer
16:14:13 <nirik> stickster: cool. So there is initial server text ? or not yet?
16:14:50 <stickster> nirik: I have a Gobby doc up called "getfedora.org/server" to use for updating strings. We have some content right now but it needs work. My plan is to try to redraft before lunch, and send to the Server WG. I will then expect the liaison to work on the text with the WG over the next couple of days, and give us something the WG approves -- I'm happy to do commits based on that
16:15:01 * junland looks at website.
16:15:07 <stickster> nirik: The Gobby doc is empty but I'll have it populated with the draft content in a few minutes.
16:15:14 <nirik> cool. sounds great! Thanks for working on this stickster
16:15:14 <junland> Wow, looks pretty cool.
16:15:19 <nirik> back to your doc roots. ;)
16:15:20 <stickster> nirik: -ENOTIME so far, but I'm fixing that :-)
16:15:30 <stickster> nirik: Ah, the simple days....
16:16:16 <stickster> nirik: So the important thing for the WG is that once I have this draft, we need review, feedback, and approval/edits by the WG as soon as possible. This way we can get commits in, and ship to translators with enough time that we can have lots of translations ready on GA day.
16:16:32 <nirik> whats the deadline?
16:16:35 <stickster> Fortunately, that work can continue pretty much through and after GA day -- websites are easy to fix/re-ship continuously
16:16:38 <nirik> or just 'asap'?
16:16:46 <stickster> nirik: By Friday for sure
16:16:56 <stickster> nirik: Who's the liaison? sgallagh_afk ?
16:17:24 <nirik> yeah. he's traveling this week tho... I think he's at lisa?
16:17:25 * stickster is about 99.9% sure, just checking so I don't end up poking the wrong person :-)
16:17:30 <stickster> Ah, right.
16:17:39 <stickster> nirik: Would you be able to drive this to conclusion for Friday?
16:17:48 <stickster> nirik: Or can you recommend someone else who's here in the meeting?
16:17:50 <nirik> I can try... hopefully we can get some feedback on list
16:18:41 <stickster> nirik: OK -- not sure how you want to #info/#action here for people to be aware
16:18:47 * stickster done
16:18:55 <stickster> EOF
16:18:58 <nirik> #info website draft due soon to list for feedback and comments
16:19:13 <nirik> #action nirik will gather comments and try and make sure the draft is in by friday
16:19:18 <nirik> thanks stickster
16:19:23 <junland> Yes thank you.
16:19:25 <stickster> np :-)
16:19:26 <nirik> junland: you had something addtional?
16:19:37 <nirik> #topic Open Floor part II, the open flooring
16:20:02 <junland> Yes, is there any other steps that we have todo in terms of QA / TC's?
16:20:15 <junland> So, another way to put it, what do we have left?
16:20:16 <nirik> just test them as they come out...
16:20:23 <junland> Got it.
16:20:36 <nirik> there will at least be an RC...
16:20:48 <nirik> but probibly some more TC's before that
16:21:17 <nirik> #info continue to test TC and RC composes as they come out as we get closer to release.
16:21:17 <junland> Roger.
16:21:29 <nirik> Anyone have any other items? if not, will close out in a minute...
16:21:58 * junland doesn't have anything else.
16:23:46 <nirik> ok, thanks for coming everyone.

14:30:02 <zodbot> Meeting started Mon Nov 10 14:30:01 2014 UTC. The chair is nirik. Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot.
14:30:02 <zodbot> Useful Commands: #action #agreed #halp #info #idea #link #topic.
14:30:02 <nirik> #meetingname releng
14:30:02 <zodbot> The meeting name has been set to 'releng'
14:30:02 <nirik> #chair dgilmore nirik tyll sharkcz bochecha masta pbrobinson
14:30:02 <nirik> #topic init process
14:30:02 <zodbot> Current chairs: bochecha dgilmore masta nirik pbrobinson sharkcz tyll
14:30:10 <nirik> who all is around for a releng meeting?
14:30:15 <bochecha> I am
14:30:42 * pbabinca here
14:32:44 * sharkcz is here
14:33:06 * nirik will wait another minute or two for folks to wander in
14:35:13 <nirik> ok, I guess lets go ahead...
14:35:15 <nirik> #topic Secondary Architectures update - s390
14:35:23 <nirik> sharkcz: any news to report?
14:36:24 <sharkcz> not much, I created a compose a week ago, roughly like beta in primary, works fine, but there is a problem with writing to console in 3.17 kernel, bug is reported and IBM is looking on it
14:36:52 <nirik> ah, ok.
14:37:01 <nirik> so no official beta until thats squashed?
14:37:07 <sharkcz> bug #1158848 for the record, network login works
14:37:20 <sharkcz> yes
14:38:00 <nirik> ok, makes sense.
14:38:19 <nirik> no pbrobinson or masta, I guess we skip ppc and arm for now.
14:38:26 <nirik> #topic Tickets
14:38:36 <sharkcz> I can comment ppc a bit
14:38:41 <nirik> ok, coo.
14:38:47 <nirik> #topic Secondary Architectures update - ppc
14:39:32 <sharkcz> there is beta rc1, but is blocked by 2 issues - cryptsetup fails on arches with page size >=64k (ppc* and aarch64), fix exists upstream so I need to ask jwb to include it
14:40:18 <nirik> ok.
14:40:47 <sharkcz> another issue is multipath install, seems to work on x86 in minimal setup (kvm + 1 multipathed scsi disk), we are reproducing this setup on ppc and will see later today hopefully
14:41:35 <nirik> alright, sounds good.
14:41:42 <nirik> so hopefully soon for a beta
14:41:53 <sharkcz> yep
14:42:07 <nirik> excellent. thanks.
14:42:14 <nirik> #topic Tickets
14:42:23 <nirik> https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/report/10?sort=created&asc=1&page=1
14:42:30 <nirik> we have 14 tickets open with meeting...
14:42:39 <nirik> not sure which we can/should go over today
14:42:51 <nirik> (with many folks not here)
14:43:48 <nirik> sharkcz: did https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/6014 get a final list? or do we even have a way to find out?
14:45:01 <sharkcz> I don't have the list at hand, but should be doable by a direct query to koji db
14:45:25 <sharkcz> question is whether it is worth the effort
14:45:39 <nirik> yeah, no idea on that part. perhaps it's just history now.
14:46:11 <sharkcz> yes, I'd close the ticket, very likely there are new builds for the affected packages
14:46:24 <nirik> ok.
14:46:46 <nirik> also https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/6024 can probibly be closed, we discussed it last week and I think pingou already implemented what we talked about.
14:48:55 <nirik> ok, those closed. ;) then there were 12. ;)
14:50:06 <bochecha> 6039 seems like something we could solve quickly?
14:50:42 <nirik> bochecha: off hand I would say we could publish dumps, but I am not fully sure there's no sensitive info in there.
14:50:49 <nirik> I would want to check with dgilmore on that...
14:51:47 <nirik> we have a framework already in place for sharing db's... but not sure koji would be ok to share that way.
14:52:09 <sharkcz> but won't be the dumps too large? I have 7GB+ on s390, the dump, compressed
14:52:39 <sharkcz> and primary has much more info in it I guess
14:53:12 <nirik> huh... primary ones are only 1.3gbish
14:53:14 <bochecha> looking at the db for another koji, I can't think of anything that could be sensitive
14:53:25 <nirik> -rw-r--r--. 1 postgres postgres 1.3G Nov 10 04:55 koji-2014-11-10.dump.xz
14:53:48 <sharkcz> let me check it, I hope I read the scale correctly :-)
14:54:18 <sharkcz> ah, it's 700M ;-)
14:54:24 <nirik> cool.
14:55:13 <nirik> bochecha: I don't know if we setup initial admins when installing with passwords instead of certs? otherwise, yeah, not sure what could be sensitive.
14:55:30 <bochecha> nirik, ah, that maybe
14:56:11 <nirik> anyhow I can check with dgilmore and see what he thinks... it would be pretty trivial to add it to the db's we already make available.
14:56:40 <nirik> http://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/infra/db-dumps/ (btw)
14:57:34 <nirik> any other tickets we think we can make progress on? or should we call it a short meeting?
14:58:13 <bochecha> about 6016, didn't we say we'd like some data about savings?
14:58:40 <sharkcz> #6023 - should we express our opinions the ticket?
14:59:19 <nirik> bochecha: yeah, you want to add a comment about that there?
14:59:39 <bochecha> pbabinca, did you have any time to look at savings from using fedpkg-minimal? :)
14:59:59 <pbabinca> bochecha, I haven't made any progress there.
15:00:00 <nirik> sharkcz: sure I guess. Again, I would want to check with dgilmore before adding any folks there... it's pretty sensitive...
15:00:12 <nirik> but we should/could add some more folks, especially in .eu
15:03:26 <nirik> #topic Open Floor
15:03:31 <nirik> anyone have items for open floor?
15:04:18 <tyll> can we decide something about https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/6040 - e.g. can an existing systems be used for it?
15:05:09 <nirik> tyll: possibly releng04... but it's rhel6... does that present problems?
15:05:51 <tyll> nirik: uh, if I can login there, I can check - I only ran it on Fedora and RHEL7
15:06:23 <nirik> tyll: I can get you access to it if you don't have it already.
15:06:45 <nirik> thats the machine fedora updates pushes happen on, so it sends already bodhi emails and such.
15:06:52 <tyll> yes, I can access it
15:06:58 <nirik> or we could just make a new releng-backend or something.
15:07:26 <tyll> Can I add an ansible task for the cronjob for it or does it need to go into puppet?
15:08:33 <nirik> sadly, it's in puppet.
15:09:06 <nirik> let me think on it a bit more perhaps...
15:09:07 <tyll> the script does not work out-of-the box on it :-(
15:09:23 * nirik only saw the request this morning before coffee... and have had no time to ponder on it.
15:09:30 <tyll> ok
15:10:02 <nirik> ok, we can make a releng-backend01 perhaps. that makes more sense off hand anyhow.
15:12:09 <nirik> tyll: oh, where are we on rawhide autosigner?
15:13:51 <tyll> I just started looking into it again, it seems that secondary sigul is more stable than a few months ago (or it is because I am monitoring it now)
15:14:44 <nirik> I saw your report of an outage on it... no idea on that. I was asleep... nothing should have been changing on it.
15:14:59 <tyll> It seems to work quite good (still without rawhide gating), except that arm koji shows some issues sometimes
15:15:15 <tyll> ah, there is also something I need to investigate
15:15:37 <tyll> sometimes builds are not properly tagged on secondary kojis, even though a tagging fedmsg was sent earlier
15:15:42 <tyll> not sure if the packages are untagged again
15:16:15 <tyll> or if there is a race condition that makes koji send the fedmsg message before tagging was finished so a query for it fails
15:16:26 <nirik> ah...dunno.
15:16:47 <nirik> one side effect of the rawhide signing is we get the weird metadata problems with pungi making boot.img
15:17:01 <nirik> I think we should put a 'yum clean metadata' in there to work around it.
15:17:26 <tyll> does it fail if RPM checksums fail?
15:17:30 <tyll> checksums change?
15:17:38 <nirik> yeah...
15:18:04 <tyll> I see, this should not happen anymore when there is some gating in koji
15:18:21 <nirik> Error downloading packages:
15:18:21 <nirik> Delta RPM of 1:openssl-libs-1.0.1j-1.fc22.x86_64: Checksum of the delta-rebuilt RPM failed
15:18:35 <nirik> also, probibly it shouldn't be using deltas. ;)
15:18:42 <tyll> hehe
15:19:02 <nirik> anyhow, will see about adding a clean metadata in there.
15:19:32 <tyll> btw. would the releng cron mailing list be the right target to let autosigner report errors via e-mail?
15:20:21 <nirik> Oh, one other tidbit: I got all the builders re-isntalled/updated. they are all runinning 3.17.2-200.fc20 now (aside the ppc and bkernel ones)
15:20:30 <nirik> tyll: sounds good to me. +1
15:21:18 <nirik> ok, if nothing else will close out in a minute.
15:21:35 <tyll> btw. I also added scripts to releng-git a while ago to check whether packages are not signed when mashing them
15:21:50 <tyll> and one script to monitor sigul by checking whether login works every 10 minutes
15:22:01 <tyll> is the last one something that could be added to nagios?
15:22:05 <nirik> mash can check/reject them no?
15:22:10 <nirik> yes, definitely.
15:22:21 <nirik> if it was, then we could more quickly restart them if they got stuck.
15:22:24 <tyll> it looks into the mash logs, because there are only awrnings currently
15:22:53 <nirik> mash has a config option to treat that as a warn or a fail
15:22:58 <tyll> for the check script it would make sense to create a test key that is not used for anything to make it not that critical to use the credentials for it
15:23:12 <tyll> for Rawhide and secondary Branched it is a warning currently
15:23:39 <tyll> the scripts looks into the logs for the warning (I use it to see if autosigner signs all builds)
15:23:44 <nirik> yeah, for bodhi/updates it's strict fail
15:24:02 <nirik> we could make branched that way now too...
15:24:13 <nirik> yeah, test key sounds good.
15:24:17 <tyll> I believe it is for primary Branched
15:24:28 <tyll> ah, this reminds me of one more thing
15:24:56 <tyll> buildbranched and buildrawhide should be merged, but there is at least one diff where I am not sure whether it is intended that they differ
15:25:11 <nirik> yeah, we have wanted to merge them for a long time. ;)
15:25:28 <nirik> whats the diff?
15:25:30 <tyll> I synced most of them
15:25:49 <tyll> http://paste.fedoraproject.org/149368/56331421
15:26:01 <tyll> there is a call for wait
15:26:03 * masta wonders in late
15:28:24 <nirik> huh, no idea why thats there?
15:28:31 <nirik> oh, unless it needs all arches to finish?
15:28:39 <nirik> no, no idea
15:29:56 <tyll> so can it just be synced to buildrawhide?
15:30:34 <nirik> as far as I can tell.
15:30:45 <nirik> there's actually nothing being backgrounded there is there?
15:31:41 <tyll> pungify is
15:31:59 <tyll> and spam-o-matic
15:32:19 <nirik> ok, wonder why rawhide doesn't wait for those and branched does?
15:32:44 <nirik> I would think both should
15:33:23 <tyll> uh, actually both wait before pungify
15:33:47 <nirik> ok... lets continue this after meeting?
15:33:53 <tyll> but rawhide has an extra wait (So I confused both)
15:33:59 <tyll> ok
15:34:12 <nirik> thanks for coming everyone!

18:02:44 <nirik> or apprentices with questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, ?
18:02:55 <sebito91> hi team, i missed last week's meeting and therefore couldn't introduce myself
18:03:15 <sebito91> very excited to help out where i can...quick hits: very interested in metrics collection/analysis
18:03:45 <sebito91> currently working as an SA in NYC
18:04:15 <oddshocks> sebito91: welcome!
18:04:24 <sebito91> oddshocks: thank you!
18:04:32 <nirik> welcome sebito91!
18:04:46 <nirik> we could definitely use some ideas around metrics and the like...
18:04:58 <mpduty> if I feel some application can be packaged how do I know whether it meets Fedora standards or requirements
18:05:01 <sebito91> I'm going to post a suggestion to the distro, but thinking of possibly adding a graphite or grafana based view to current collectors
18:05:20 <sebito91> nirik: thanks
18:05:41 <nirik> mpduty: it's mostly a matter of looking at it and the guidelines... you can often also ask #fedora-devel or the devel mailing list for others to help...
18:06:36 <mpduty> nirik, okay
18:07:04 <nirik> cool.
18:07:19 <nirik> #topic Unfreeze reminder
18:07:29 <nirik> just a reminder that we are currently NOT in freeze. ;)
18:07:40 <nirik> we go back on the 18th... so not too much time really.
18:07:45 <adimania> \o/
18:07:47 <nirik> #topic Applications status / discussion
18:07:58 <nirik> any applications news or status to talk about?
18:08:45 <pingou> I have some pull-requests pending review
18:08:56 <pingou> on fedocal, pkgdb2 and anitya
18:09:08 <nirik> during this non freeze it would be good to move stuff to ansible/rhel7 where possible/easy. ;)
18:09:14 <pingou> mostly bug fixes :)
18:09:28 <threebean> bodhi2 taskotron integration is done in dev. I'm hoping we can triage what tickets need to be closed before staging in the next week or so.
18:09:31 <threebean> https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/pull/109
18:10:26 <threebean> on those pull-requests, anybody can review them. Just read through the code change and see if it looks sane. Ask questions about anything you don't understand or looks funny.
18:10:41 <threebean> an easy way for apprentices to get involved on the apps/dev/maintenance side of the house.
18:10:43 <nirik> yeah, it would be nice to get bodhi2 in stg where we can look at it mor, etc
18:11:16 <nirik> cool.
18:11:41 <nirik> abompard: any news on hyperkitty? I read that upstream was very happy with the sqlalchemy stuff. ;)
18:12:17 <abompard> nirik: yeah, that branch has finally been merged. I've adapted hyperkitty to work with it
18:12:19 <abompard> testing it now
18:12:23 <nirik> pingou: do we have a timeline for announcing aytia more widely?
18:12:38 <nirik> abompard: cool. So next step is likely moving some automated lists over?
18:12:43 <nirik> (after that testing)
18:12:47 <abompard> nirik: yes
18:13:03 <pingou> nirik: as I won't be there next week, I didn't want to do it this week, but when I get back +1 for me
18:13:36 <nirik> Oh, another thing to note: there's a new askbot version... if someone would like to rebase our patches and get it building we can look at upgrading.
18:13:56 <nirik> #info bodhi2 pr's pending: https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/pull/109 (great way to get started)
18:14:16 <nirik> #info hyperkitty testing sqlalchemy changes
18:14:30 <nirik> #info anytia announce sometime after next week possibly.
18:14:43 <nirik> #info askbot upstream update. Help wanted to update el6 package in epel.
18:14:55 <tflink> not much on the qa front - going to be looking into beaker again soon, expecting the blocking bug there to be fixed in the next month or so. still waiting on a warranty quote for some of the old qa0* boxes that we want to use for beaker clients
18:14:57 <pingou> threebean: how is the-new-hotness doing?
18:15:07 <threebean> it is just waiting to be deployed.
18:15:11 <pingou> cool :)
18:15:34 <pingou> so if we move anitya on, we can push a new pkgdb2 and deploy the-new-hotness :)
18:15:42 <nirik> tflink: if we could possibly move blockerbugs to rhel7 when we ansible it that would be great. If you like I can test and see what might be missing...
18:15:46 <tflink> going to be decomissioning some of the autoqa clients soon because the queues on taskotron keep getting longer than I'd like
18:15:55 <tflink> nirik: what timeline are you thinking of?
18:16:09 <oddshocks> Fedimg successfully uploaded good F21 beta AMIs for base and atomic cloud images, so I think it's about time to actually add in the ansible files I wrote and let it start doing automatic uploads this week, at least in stg
18:16:13 <nirik> tflink: well, I could look in the next few days, but perhaps next week for migrating/
18:16:14 <nirik> ?
18:16:26 <nirik> oddshocks: excellent.
18:16:42 <nirik> #info fedimg seems to be working, next step to automate it starting in stg.
18:16:57 * tflink isn't against migration, just concerned about balancing that with the other tasks he's supposed to be working on
18:17:05 <oddshocks> Those AMIs are on the fp.o page proper now, so they are public and the official ones we're offering for beta.
18:17:20 <tflink> I suppose that it should be a pretty simple migration, though
18:17:47 <pingou> tflink: hopefully, 1 change in ansible and re-run the playbook :)
18:17:59 <tflink> pingou: blockerbugs isn't in ansible, though
18:18:17 <tflink> its still puppet
18:18:26 <pingou> isn't there a patch for that on trac?
18:18:35 <nirik> yes...
18:18:36 <pingou> https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/4392#comment:3 ?
18:18:41 <adimania> pingou, yes
18:18:43 <nirik> so, hopefully it will not be too bad...
18:18:46 <nirik> but you never know. ;)
18:19:00 <pingou> true enough :)
18:19:00 <tflink> oh, I didn't see that ticket
18:19:08 <nirik> tflink: I'm happy to do the bulk of the work on it... as long as you are around to ping if it blows up?
18:19:32 <tflink> nirik: yeah, that's fine. we have a bug to fix in there, anyways
18:19:40 <tflink> the app, I mean
18:19:57 <nirik> ok.
18:20:08 <nirik> #info nirik to work on migrating blockerbugs.
18:21:14 <nirik> tflink: oh, another thing I wanted to run by you... but I guess it's more sysadminy... I want to re-install virthost-comm01.qa... I think it has no prod stuff on it, but would need an hour downtime for the re-install sometime.
18:21:40 <tflink> the only thing that could affect me is bastion-comm01
18:21:46 <tflink> but an hour isn't a problem
18:22:01 <nirik> cool. will schedule that out of meeting...
18:22:11 <nirik> any other application type news/
18:22:11 <nirik> ?
18:22:27 <tflink> I have some questions about what exactly you have in mind but that sounds like an out-of-meeting topic
18:22:33 <tflink> er, exact process
18:22:51 <tflink> some of the stuff on virthost-comm01 isn't backed up and isn't easily reinstallable
18:23:54 <nirik> backup libvirt info for guests, reinstall with rhel7 over the existing install (leaving lvm alone), bring up, redefine guests, bring them up. ;)
18:24:06 <nirik> so, only the host should be affected.
18:24:14 <nirik> the guests lv's stay the exact same
18:24:50 * nirik has done this with a number of other virthosts just fine.
18:25:05 <nirik> #topic Sysadmin status / discussion
18:25:14 <tflink> ok, wasn't sure if the reinstall involved rebuilding the guests
18:25:23 <nirik> so yeah, I have been migrating things to rhel7/ansible where possible... I will keep doing that until freeze.
18:25:32 <nirik> tflink: nope, it could, but it doesn't have to.
18:25:45 <nirik> no need to tie them together
18:25:49 <smooge> #info smooge going to USENIX LISA next week to work a booth and answer questions on EPEL
18:26:01 <nirik> we had a mass reboot last night, went pretty well with a few hiccups.
18:26:16 <nirik> smooge: do have fun! :)
18:26:42 <nirik> #info mass reboot went pretty well aside puppetmaster restart issues and ns03 issues (still ongoing).
18:27:01 <nirik> I'm also going to run the master playbook today... catch things up with ansible.
18:27:10 <tflink> I mentioned this to smooge yesterday but we have 3 more hosts coming to phx2 soon (order approved, submitted to vendor). I'd guess an eta of 2-3 weeks
18:27:22 <nirik> tflink: cool. :)
18:27:40 <tflink> which is the rest of the stuff we ordered for FY15
18:28:01 <nirik> nice. These are all qa0* taskotron virthosts? or were we going to make another virthost-comm?
18:28:26 <nirik> I guess we can decide when we need to. ;)
18:28:49 <tflink> nirik: not sure yet, to be honest
18:29:03 <nirik> yeah. no need to decide really, we can adjust...
18:29:33 <tflink> if they're compatible, it might make sense to add them as compute nodes to the cloud
18:29:33 <nirik> #topic nagios alerts
18:29:57 <nirik> tflink: we could possibly do that, although that might require some re-wiring as the cloud network is isolated.
18:30:06 <nirik> tflink: we are also getting some more cloud nodes in Q4
18:30:12 <tflink> yeah, that would be a different conversation, I think

18:30:21 <tflink> that -> what we may end up doing with openstack
18:30:25 <zodbot> nirik: http://tinyurl.com/pzzwx2r
18:30:32 <nirik> tflink: yeah, we really need to get our new one on-line. ;)

18:31:00 <nirik> threebean: you looked at the tagger thing right? what was that?
18:31:57 <nirik> I have no idea what was going on with bodhi... lmacken has been traveling this week, but hopefully we can figure it out.
18:32:02 <nirik> (or the reboots helped it)
18:33:23 <nirik> the report looks more real when you only do hard states.

18:34:32 <nirik> we have our FAD coming up in the beginning of december...
18:34:39 <nirik> freeze on the 18th of this month.
18:34:51 <nirik> anything else anyone would like to note or schedule?
18:35:10 <pingou> I'll be away next week
18:35:26 <pingou> no idea about my access to internet :)
18:35:32 <nirik> alrighty. :) well, have fun...
18:35:53 <pingou> will do :)
18:36:01 <nirik> #topic Open Floor
18:36:10 <nirik> anyone have any items for open floor?
18:37:00 <nirik> alrighty then, will close out in a minute if nothing more.
18:38:00 <nirik> Alright. Thanks for coming everyone! Do continue in #fedora-admin, #fedora-noc, and #fedora-apps
