I discussed w/ Andrew off list, wanted to capture on list.
We want folks installing mh to get out of the box functionality with minimal config. So suggestions for that are:
* matahari top level RPM installs all agents by default and also matahari-broker package
* by default matahari main config file contains no configuration (broker IP or auth info)
* agents connect to broker in the following order of precedence: * If the config file contains explicit broker ip/host, this is always used * else check for running localhost broker and connect to that via 127.0.0.1 with no auth needed * else DNS SRV record is queried using host's domain and connect to external broker directly
* local matahari-broker connects to external broker with following precedence * If config file contains explicit broker to federate to, this is always used * else DNS SRV record is queried using host's domain and connect to external broker directly * else start up and listen for incoming broker/console connections
* matahari-broker init/systemd script on Linux and smth else on Windows will need to handle this logic
What do folks think?
