Hi All,
I have written my first article draft on Fedora Magazine, following the guidelines give here :http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Magazine/Howtopost and with help from Paul W. Frields.
However, while editing my article using either Visual or Text Wordpress editor, I am not getting the "Add Media", "Insert Slideshow" or "Add Contact Form" buttons. I tried clearing the cache, disable plugins, changing my system and browser language to en_US etc etc. I am running Fedora 22 Workstation x86_64 updated till today and Firefox 38.0.5 browser.
Any ideas why this is happening? Paul confirmed he can see the buttons in Firefox on his PC so this could be something related to my PC or my account.
Thanks.
Has try other browser?

Only accounts with a certain access level can add media to posts I think - I remember having the issue before. This is not a browser issue. :)
Sumit, please do not reply to digest e-mails - it's bad mailing list practice - it makes it difficult for other readers on the list to follow the thread :)
Yeah, maybe that's account level problem, not from browser :)

It seems you were given the "Contributor" status -- that is one we are intending on not using anymore. (Because it can't upload images :) )
I have changed your status to "Author", so you should now have access to create & edit posts, as well as upload images.
There was also 3 other people with contributor status, and they are all now Authors too.
cheers, ryanlerch
Hi Ryan,
I think it would be better if the default role for new people is "Contributor" instead of "Author". Although contributors by default can't upload media, with the User Roles plugin we can give them the privilege of uploading media, without being authors. Because authors can publish new posts, and that could be potentially dangerous.

I checked the user role permissions, and the Author role does not include permissions to publish new posts or pages. So making new folks Authors automatically should be fine in that respect.
Yeap, that would do too.
Thanks,
Hi,
Is this fixed now or does the permissions need to be changed for the roles?

No, the perms are all set.
We really only need one non-editor role -- I just chose the Author one, as it sounded better than just a contributor.
