I admit this whole thing has confused me, as well. I think it was less a situation of "choice" and more one of "organic growth." We had moved ahead with the merger of RHL and Fedora.us into a single project, picked a name, and put a distribution out with that name, before anyone noticed we had created the "hat" problem.
