Sound prefs:

PackageKit command not found plugin:
http://pfrields.fedorapeople.org/video/pk-cnf-plugin.ogg
This was super-simple to do, I just installed istanbul, created a new
user account to run it, and found a random command not already
installed.
OK, who else is going to step up and try one or two of these items?
Putting f-marketing-l on the CC just to see if we can catch anyone
there looking for easy ways to help.

Mozilla Participate-week
by wonderer
Hy,
just had this info im my mailbox and thought this could be a opportunity
to step in (e.g. olpc, education, etc.)
--- snip (auto translated from [0], [0a] )---
from14.th until 21th September the "Mozilla Participate-week" [1]takes
place.
Here committed people, who know to have already discovered and use the
Internet for itself those help, are which Novice so to be called are.
That for example seniors can be, who do not know, how the Internet
functions, or nonprofit organizations, which want to experience, how
they can use social networks for itself.
Active ones, which want to engage themselves already now for the going
through week, can likewise do that. Mozilla looks for still translator,
proposals for new partners or aides, which recruit for the going through
week. Mozilla offers today around 18:00 a on-line Workshop for volunteer
to clock.

FUDCon
by Paul W. Frields
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2009-August/msg00007...
So, with the FUDCon announcement out the door (finally), Mel Chua and
I are looking into how we can get information from Toronto area LUGs.
Specifically, we want data on what they'd like to see in the way of
user content.
Our initial idea is a track or two of user-focused instruction, and
we'd like to be able to have one of those tracks culminate in some
sort of participation, like filing a bug. But the most important goal
of a user track should be to make the user feel confident in a set of
basic skills so that they can enjoy Fedora, and potentially contribute
to it as a result.
So this message is not meant to kick off a thread of "Here's what we
should offer." Instead, I want it to make people think about "Here's
how we should find out from our prospective audience what they want to
see."

Talking points: final call
by Mel Chua
Paul started a list of talking points for this release:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F12_talking_points
The first thing we're going to do at the meeting today is freeze this
list so that we can start moving forward with Docs and News to write
them - so if you have any things you'd like to see included, now is the
time to add them.
